unpacking the studio, finally

unpacking the studio

unpacking the studio

It's still chaos but at least I began.

I can't believe yet that I have my own freestanding studio, outside of the house. I have lots of plans for this space ~ more wooden tables, a sewing corner, and things on the walls ~ but right now it's enough that I can just get in there and work. It's been hard being disconnected from making my work with everything packed away; a whole mode of expression and feeling and therapy missing.

(The acoustics are great for singing, too.)

What a dream space - it almost feels like a charming little treehouse. I would be spending as much time in there as possible - creating and singing! ;)

Sheds and outhouses have a magic, don't they? A friend from childhood got a shed for her birthday one year, a place to put all her loved things and do exactly what she wanted. I love the different names given to these buildings too. This feels like a summerhouse to me, with all that green light.
